SDS Strutters is one of our competitive dance teams at Stacey’s Dance Studio. We strive to provide excellent dance training, team experience, and organization. SDS Strutters is for dancers ages 6 and up. We also have a Tiny Strutter Company for dancers ages 4 and 5. SDS Strutters take weekly ballet, tap, and technique classes and learn group choreography that they compete at 4 dance competitions each season. Our mission through classes and competition is to grow dancers’ technique, confidence, and grace while doing all we can on our side to reinforce the values and morals families strive to instill in their children. Dance brings us together, but the fun, friendships, memories, and more create an unforgettable bond that we call SDS Nation!

Auditions for SDS Strutters are held in May.

SDS Elite Company is a pre-professional training and competitive program designed to foster a deeper love for dance while focusing on technique, artistry, and discipline. The program helps dancers grow in confidence, maturity, and teamwork.

SDS Elite attends stage-based competitions and dance conventions and focuses on many training classes in different genres of dance. Elite dancers take Tap, Modern, Technique, and Combination/Hip Hop training classes in addition to Ballet each week, where we utilize a specialized Classical Ballet syllabus. Conventions are a fabulous way for students to get instruction from top industry professionals from across the country and be immersed in different styles of dance. SDS Elite additionally attends in-studio master classes throughout the year. Elite auditions are held in May.

Kingwood Ballet is the resident ballet company at SDS. Kingwood Ballet accepts experienced dancers 6 years old and older by audition only. Dancers train extensively in Ballet and other disciplines and are encouraged to take other styles of dance.

Kingwood Ballet's mission is to present professional quality productions in the community and provide ambitious, talented dancers with increased and challenging performance opportunities to enhance their training. SDS Crew is our resident Hip Hop performance group. Interested dancers should have some prior dance or hip-hop class experience, but extensive training is not required. SDS Crew will have several performance opportunities throughout the year and receive Hip Hop instruction and choreography. Auditions for SDS Crew are held in May.

SDS Select is for experienced dancers going into 8th grade and high school who want to train and compete in All-Star styles. We are excited to push technique to new levels, expand into new styles, and grow dancers into their full dance potential as they look toward high school and collegiate goals.

SDS Select aims to have a schedule conducive to students participating in other extracurriculars. Training will include Ballet, Technique, Stretch and Conditioning, Hip Hop, and College Prep Styles including Pom. SDS Select will attend both stage-based and all-star competitions as well as a Nationals competition. SDS Select additionally attends in-studio master classes throughout the year and will have some wonderful travel opportunities tailored to their dance goals, with a little fun thrown in too! SDS Select auditions are held in May.
